Background
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the PKC subfamily, AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family of enzymes. It is a Ca++‑independent and phospholipid‑dependent ubiquitous enzyme that participates in B cell signaling and in the regulation of growth, apoptosis, and differentiation of a variety of cell types.
