Background
USP14(Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 14) is also named as TGT and belongs to the peptidase C19 family. Mammalian USP14 is unique among known UBP enzymes in that it is activated catalytically upon specific association with the 26S proteasome. USP14 inhibition accelerated the degradation of oxidized proteins and enhanced resistance to oxidative stress. This protein has a 45-kDa catalytic domain.
