Description: | Coelenterazine is a bioluminescence probe for measuring Ca2+ concentration in cells with a high sensitivity and large dynamic range. Coelenterazine (native form) is a luminescent enzyme substrate for apoaequorin and Renilla luciferase. The aequorin complex has been used as an excellent calcium indicator that can measure a broad concentration range of calcium from ~0.1 mM to >100 mM. Luminophore of the aequorin complex which is oxidized by oxygen to illuminate at 465 nm when Ca2+ binds to the complex. |
