| Description: | AAV(BI30)-CAG-GFP-3xmiR122 is a pre-packaged rAAV in serotype BI30 (a capsid with tropism for CNS endothelial cells) which over-expresses EGFP with miR122 target sequence repeats to reduce transgene expression in hepatocytes under the CAG (also known as CBA) promoter. The CAG promoter is a combination of the cytomegalovirus (CMV) early enhancer element and chicken beta-actin promoter for high levels of gene expression in mammalian expression vectors. Compared with rAAV serotype 9, rAAV in serotype BI30 is able to penetrate brain-blood barrier (BBB) and infect CNS via tail vein I.V. with 50 times better transduction efficiency.
