mRed fluorescent protein is the mutant Red fluorescent protein from Discosoma (DsRed), mRFP overcome the tetramerization which is toxic to cells. mRFP is expressed in adenovirus type 5 with E1 and E3 deletion under the control of CMV promoter. mRFP can be used as a control in target cells.
