Features: | 1. Superior transfection efficiency in both suspension and adherent HepG2 cells 2. Does not require removal of serum or culture medium 3. Does not require washing or changing of medium after transfection 4. Low cytotoxicity |
Description: | PrimeFect™ Transfection Reagent for HepG2 Cells is a biodegradable polymer based transfection reagent that forms a complex with DNA, and transports the complex into a variety of adherent and suspension cell lines. A remarkable feature of the reagent is the rapid and complete degradation of polymer after transfection complex endocytosis, leading to much less cytotoxicity. |
Storage Condition: | Store at 4 °C. If stored properly, the product is stable for 12 months or longer. |
Comparison of PrimeFect™ for HepG2 and Lipofectamine® 2000 transfection efficiencies using GFP visualization
CHO cells were transfected with a GFP-expressing plasmid using either PrimeFect™ transfection reagent for HepG2 cells (left), or Lipofectamine® 2000 (right). Cells were visualized 48 hours post-transfection under fluorescence microscopy (GFP filter).
