| Description: | LiPure™ Streptavidin-Biotin system has a high binding affinity (Kd=10-15) and is widely used in the biological field. LiPure™ Streptavidin magnetic beads are 1-μm monosized, monodispersed, superparamagnetic beads covalently coupled to streptavidin and intended for use in the isolation and handling of biotinylated antibodies, nucleic acids, proteins, and other ligand molecules. Their small but uniform size presents a high surface area per mg of beads and a correspondingly high capacity for the target ligand, while the high iron content ensures an efficient magnetic pull. These features, along with a slow sedimentation rate during incubation, contribute to a gentle and rapid magnetic separation. Excellent dispersion abilities and the lack of magnetic remanence make LiPure™ Streptavidin magnetic beads ideal for automated protocols. |

Microscope image comparison of streptavidin magnetic beads of LifeSct (right) and Brand T (left)
In the capture sequencing of the target region based on second-generation sequencing (NGS), the streptavidin magnetic beads of LifeSct® (Blue) and Brand T (Yellow) showed basically the same performance indicators in comparison ratio (%), uniformity (%), capture efficiency (%), coverage rate (%) and coverage depth. The results show that LiPure™ Streptavidin Magnetic Beads can be used as a substitute for well-known brands of Streptavidin Magnetic Beads.
