Precision-Driven MTT Cell Proliferation Assay

The MTT Cell Proliferation Assay Kit provides an accurate and standardized approach for quantifying cellular proliferation through metabolic activity measurements. Utilizing the well-characterized MTT reagent, this system enables precise determination of viable cell numbers in diverse experimental settings. The assay principle relies on mitochondrial reduction of MTT to purple formazan crystals in metabolically active cells. Following solubilization, the chromogenic product is quantified spectrophotometrically using a microplate reader. This optimized kit demonstrates a linear detection range of 2,000-250,000 cells per well, with sensitivity parameters dependent on cell lineage characteristics and culture conditions.

Case Study

Quantitation of Jurkat cells using the MTT Cell Proliferation Assay Kit. Jurkat cells were diluted to the indicated cell numbers in 100 µl volumes, delivered to the wells of a microplate, and incubated for 4 hr with the MTT assay kit, absorbance was measured at 570 nm.
